| Sifu Chik Qadir Mason's study of martial and internal arts spans four decades and two continents. He is a member of the Chinese Kuo Shu Worldwide Association, the Seven Star Praying Mantis Association, and the Adam Hsu US Wu Shu Association. He currently teaches in and around the Philadelphia area, offers summer weekend retreats, and is available for workshops, lectures and private sessions in Martial Arts, Internal Arts and stress reduction, as well as treatments in Chi therapy, Tui-Na, Thai Massage and Reiki. The history of Spirit Wind Society interweaves with Sifu's own development as a life-long student and teacher. | |

The organization recently began independent performances of martial forms as art. Audiences have been delighted to discover the beauty and grace of the intentional movements of various Kung Fu sets. Improvisational percussion accompaniment and spoken poetry add a dimension of the unexpected to these forms which are based on ancient fighting sequences. Spirit Wind Internal Arts Society is a martial arts organization practicing and teaching in and around Philadelphia. Our members are from all walks of life. We are artists and poets, doctors and lawyers, waiters, business professionals, actors, healers, teachers and students. We are men and women of every age and every ethno- cultural- economic- religious combination. We are different even in what we seek: physical development, the calming of the emotions, the discipline of training, focusing of the mind, spiritual growth. Our commonality is simply that we find paths to what we seek through the study and practice of Chinese Internal Arts.
